He blogs right here Muslims account for over twenty percent of the population of the world and more than that fraction of prime-aged girls. For religious and cultural reasons these girls tend to be quite inaccessible to outsiders and often have their romantic and sexual choices restricted or simply made on their behalf. A high proportion of Muslim girls, families, and communities take religious and cultural practices and rules seriously. These practices include an outright ban on romantic and sexual contact with non-Muslim men. That makes them a difficult, but not impossible challenge for an outsider.
Following this conversation on the sidelines of the summit, Putin and Trump approved and published a joint statement on Syria. The full text of that statement follows. The document was drafted by Russia’s and the USA’s regional experts. The Presidents agreed to maintain open military channels of communication between military professionals to help ensure the safety of both US and Russian forces and de-confliction of partnered forces engaged in the fight against ISIS.
They confirmed that these efforts will be continued until the final defeat of ISIS is achieved.

CRAFT has three goals: CRAFT relies on well-researched behavioral principles.
Most people find these principles to be rather common sense. If you reward a behavior, it will most likely increase. Similarly, if a behavior is not rewarded ignored or it has a negative consequence associated with it, then the behavior is likely to decrease. Enabling refers to the well-intended removal of negative natural consequences that would ordinarily serve to decrease a behavior.

The dates have all been amazing, we have so many core values, beliefs, and lifestyle aspects in common. However, the part where he have sex and he withdraws happened. Is there anything a girl can do, apart from knowing that the guy would be crazy to not want her and continue to have an awesome life? And is there any other form of encouragement we can provide that lets him know we are interested in him, but not sitting around helplessly?
As such they are essentially the same program as AA, except that instead of teaching that you have the disease of alcoholism and are powerless over over alcohol without God’s intervention, they teach that you have the disease of codependency and are powerless over the alcoholic on whom you are codependent without God’s intervention. Accordingly, the focus of the meetings and the programs is not helping you “deal with” the alcoholic or on helping the alcoholic get sober: You work exactly the same 12 step program that an AA member does including getting a sponsor and a homegroup and working steps.
Make no mistake about it: It says it isn’t, but all they talk about is God, and the literature is all about God, and the steps are all about God. I have spoken with people who found that program helpful to them and also many who did not find it helpful at all; some find it downright cultish. There is nothing wrong with going and seeing what you think; but don’t expect too much.

Al Anon How it Works, What to Expect Al anon is a self-help group for people who live with or are affected by an alcoholic. Alanon is not run by a professional. Al anon is modeled on the twelve steps on AA. Members acknowledge that they are powerless over alcohol over the alcoholic in their lives and that their lives have become unmanageable. They stop trying to control the other person and learn to take responsibility for their own actions.
They stop enabling the alcoholic – stop doing things like making excuses for him or her, calling in sick to work for him or her, and so on. Attending an alanon group can be a powerful experience for people who live with an alcoholic. Alcoholism is often a secret disease. It can be a liberating experience to share with a group of people who all deal with the same problem.
If this woman has been dealing with an NPD, she was dead to him from the beginning. She never truly existed as a human being worthy of love, respect, dignity and empathy. It appears she spent years being devalued and discarded and then finally got sick of it, found her strength and decided to move on. This is a good post to read. All we know is that nothing we do seems to be good enough; everything is our fault; we are crazy.
What is love? What is not love? Many believe love is a sensation that magically generates when Mr. or Ms. Right appears. No wonder so many people are single.
New here – dating recovering alcoholic, need help beyond Al-Anon Hi all, One of my big frustrations with groups like Al-Anon is that they stubbornly don’t provide any answers. I am asking for people with similar experiences to at least share what might have worked for them here. That said, I met a great guy about 4 months ago. He and I went out for coffee a few times and found we could relate easily.
At some point, I started wondering why he couldn’t or wouldn’t take me out at night, and why he was always mysteriously “busy” in the evenings. Frankly, I thought I was being played around with or something until he told me he was in AA, had been sober for 20 months, and this was a big deal for him. Honestly, my reaction was that I felt like throwing up.
I try to stay out of it now, and I have my own unresolved bad feelings around all of that I live miles away now and don’t go home much.
November 11, 5: Hi everyone – this is a follow-up to my last question here in a way. I’ve been to three Al-Anon meetings so far, and I’ve found it very helpful. Last night I caught the guy I have been seeing the alcoholic that prompted me to start attending Al-Anon meetings in a huge, massive lie. It’s certainly not the first time I’ve caught him in a lie, but it was far worse than anything that’s come before, and it came about because he was so drunk that he didn’t realize he was saying incriminating things; he basically admitted that ever since I took him back he has been seeing another woman behind my back.

Share shares In the first study, a total of participants completed questionnaires on conspiracy beliefs, asking how strongly they agreed with specific statements, such as whether governments carried out acts of terrorism on their own soil. But psychology studies have shown that people who score as highly narcissistic can also have very low self-esteem. Psychologists have suggested that in this group, the outwardly inflated self-confidence may be them overcompensating for a lack of belief in themselves.
There is also a subset of those who are highly narcissistic who, while having a strong sense of entitlement, may feel easily challenged and threatened. Alongside this, they were asked to complete a narcissist scale and a self-esteem assessment. The results showed that those people who rated highly on the narcissism scale and who had low self-esteem were more likely to be conspiracy believers.
But to test whether the individual’s beliefs were due to their over inflated sense of self-worth, or because they had inflated sense of worth for others who held the same belief — which psychologists call collective narcissism. Over the course of three online-based studies, researchers at the University of Kent showed strong links between the belief in conspiracy theories – such as government control through vaccination illustrated left or faked moon landings illustrated right – and these negative psychological traits A second study, in people, confirmed that it was the narcissistic individuals with low self-esteem were likely to believe in conspiracies even when they didn’t show collective narcissism.
And the final study, which questioned more than people, showed low self-esteem could be largely explained ‘by the general negativity toward humans’. However, while low self-esteem, narcissism and belief in conspiracies are strongly linked, it is not clear that one – or a combination – causes the other.
